Police are saying very little as the investigation is ongoing, but two suspects – Shaha Mishaal Adham and Brian B. Scofield – have both been released after evidence proved they were not involved in the shooting. Adham’s lawyer, Ronald Richards, has said that Adham reportedly saw Ruffalo accidentally shoot himself and then she fled the scene. The family released a statement today saying that the funeral would be private.

Every since Heath Ledger died in January of this year, people have been talking about how he might get an Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of the Joker in The Dark Knight.
He might just be one step closer to that as the Australian Film Institute gave him a Best Actor award Saturday night in Melbourne. That award was accepted by Heath’s father Kim, mother, Sally, and sister, Kate.
Of his performance, the institute said, “It was this swaggering, psychopathic clown that turned his career into a legacy and the name Heath Ledger into an ongoing inspiration for actors everywhere.”

Bettie Page, the saucy ‘50s pin-up, has been hospitalized in an intensive care unit after suffering a heart attack. The 85 year old Page’s bondage photos appeared in men’s magazines such as Wink in the ‘50s. She was a Playboy centerfold in the January 1955 issue.
While thought to have helped spark the sexual revolution, Page appeared nude, but never in sexually explicit pictures. In 1959, she attended a Baptist church service, converted to Christianity, even briefly doing missionary work. She left her pinup days behind to live in relative obscurity, but still remains a major sexual icon, thanks in part to cartoonist Dave Stevens using her in The Rocketeer then helping her license her classic image for merchandising.

Oh, that crazy Boy George (George O’Dowd) is being a very naughty boy! Okay, so he has a drug problem, but really, Boy needs to stay out of trouble with the law. He was arrested for heroin possession in 1986, sued by an ex in 1995, arrested for cocaine possession in 2005 (for which he had to do community service as a garbage man of all things!), but now, the oddest charge of all has been issued – for imprisoning a male escort.

(This file, by Jessica Hansson, is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution license versions 2.5, 2.0, and 1.0.)
George was convicted today of imprisoning Audun Carlsen, a Norwegian man, in his East London flat, where he reportedly handcuffed Carlsen and beat him with a metal chain. Ew, sounds like Boy took “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?” a bit too far!
Boy has been released on bail until January 16th, when his hearing will be held. The judge in the case has said it is very probable that Boy will face jail time for this offense.
Perhaps when he gets out of jail, Boy and George Michael should appear together on the George & George: The Felony Tour!

After what seems like a 3 year gestation period, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has finally given birth to a son. Ashlee and husband Pete Wentz welcomed 7 lb. 11 oz., 20 ½ inch son Bronx Mowgli last night at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles.
Ashlee announced her pregnant in May, only a few weeks after the two married. Ashlee has said she wants more kids and Pete said he would like “a big soccer team or a band.”

That’s all fine and dandy, but what is up with the name Bronx? And, do you think the Ashlee and Pete realized their son’s initials are BMW?

Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a son of the king of Bahrain, has filed a lawsuit saying Michael Jackson owes him $7 million dollars for backing out of a deal for an album, an autobiography, and a stage play. Jackson was supposed to appear in London this week to testify, but his lawyer claims that he is too ill.

(This image is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 2.0 License)
Robert Englehart would like Jackson to testify by video link, stating that “It would be unwise for him to travel, given what he’s got now.” What? Has his nose completely fallen off his face now? Englehart declined to go into detail “for obvious reasons.” He did say that Jackson is innocent of the charges and that the $7 million advance was a gift.
Al Khalifa’s attorney says the evidence of illness presented is “very unsatisfactory.” Nigel Sweeney, the judge in the case, said he would make a decision of whether Jackson could appear via video after consulting with medical experts for both legal teams.

Samantha Ronson is NOT happy about girlfriend Lindsay Lohan being pelted with flour by a People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) member. In her MySpace blog, Ronson said, “The girl who threw [the flour] acted like an animal herself. I take that back, it’s an insult to animals to group her in with them, my dog is FAR more civilized than that person. I think there are plenty of families that could have used that flour for a meal. Nice job, lady.”

In case you missed is, Ms. Lohan was hit with flour as the couple arrived at the VIP Room Theater in Paris on Saturday. Oh, by the way, Lohan was wearing a black fur stole, which must have set off the activist.

There was quite a shock outside Paula Abdul’s Sherman Oaks house yeaterday – a dead woman in a car. The unidentified woman, who was said to be in her 30s, was found yesterday around 6 pm. Police would not confirm that the home belonged to Abdul, but public records show it does.

All LAPD is saying right now is that the woman was found dead, and they don’t know the cause of death but they are conducting an investigation. However, KTLA is reporting that the woman was a fan and had an infatuation with Paula. Rumors are also circulating that the police have been called to the residence several times before to deal with this particular fan.
TMZ is reporting that Abdul’s reps said that Paula does know the woman. They also posted pics of the car that contained a photo of Abdul hanging from the rear view mirror and the license plate ABD LV.
Creepy, just creepy. Kinda gives a new meaning to “Forever Your Girl.”
