Snoop Dogg’s Tour Busted for Marijuana
In the news that makes you go “Yeah, surprise – not!” a tour bus that contained rapper Snoop Dogg and his crew was pulled over on Interstate 45 and gasp – two of the guys in the bus were arrested for marijuana possession.
The bus was originally pulled over for expired registration (note to stoners – check your tags before leaving home!), but the troopers searched the bus when they smelled marijuana and arrested Ethan Calhoun and Kevin Barkey. Both were taken to the Navarro County Jail in Corsicana. They each face a fine of up to $2,000 and a possible sentence of six months in jail.
The troopers only found two ounces of marijuana in the bus and Snoop Dogg was not arrested, which is a good thing. Snoop has had his own run-ins with the law lately as he was arrested last year at Bob Hope Airport on suspicion of transporting marijuana, then he was charged with gun possession. His April 2007 plea put him on five year’s probation.
I think Snoop should tour with Cheech & Chong – what a show that would be!
