Alex Rodriguez’s Wife Cynthia Files for Divorce
It would appear as if Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez’s wife Cynthia has had enough. She filed for divorce in Miami-Dade County Family Court today, stating that A-Rod had “emotionally abandoned his wife and children.”
This filing comes on the heels of many rumors – that Alex has been busy seeing Madonna in New York City and that Cynthia herself has been on a secret rendezvous with rocker Lenny Kravitz.
Trying to clear his own name from this scandal, Kravitz released a statement saying “There is absolutely no affair between Cynthia Rodriguez and myself. This is unequivocally 100 per cent not true. Cynthia is a friend and is here with the godfather of her baby, who is also Alex’s trainer, his wife and their baby girl … I opened my home to her as a friend and I find it extremely hurtful that I am now being referred to as an adulterer.”
Alex has refused to comment about his relationship with Madonna while she insists, “I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez.” Cynthia is requesting primary custody of the couple’s two daughters, one of which is not even three months old yet. (photo Getty Images)
