The Whole A-Rod Mess Gets Uglier
Just days after Us Weekly reported that Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez was secretly seeing Madonna, the New York Daily News has stated that Alex and his wife, Cynthia, are separated. The reported separation comes only three months after the birth of their second daughter, Ella.
While Alex and Madonna’s reps have refused to comment on their relationship, Cynthia’s mom, Evangeline Scurtis, has denied another web report that Cynthia had a romantic tryst with rocker Lenny Kravitz in Paris. “She is not! I know that,” said Evangeline, however, she declined to comment about Cynthia’s relationship to Alex.
The good news for Alex is that he went 2-for-3 last night, hitting his 17th homer of the season. That moved him past Jimmie Fox into 14th place on the all time home run list. Two more home runs and he will surpass another Yankee great – Mickey Mantle. If Alex breaks the all time home run record of 762 set by Barry Bonds, the Yankees have promised him an extra $30 million dollar bonus. (photo: Us Weekly)
