Marie Osmond Calls Out Billy Ray!
As the controversy continues to swirl over the photos famed photographer Annie Leibovitz snapped of teen star Miley Cyrus, Marie Osmond (who had a #1 country song at the age of 14) has made her opinion known and it ain’t good.
Marie says that country singer Billy Ray Cyrus should have never left 15-year-old Miley alone with Leibovitz. Cyrus was at the photo shoot, but had to leave, at which point the controversial photos were taken. Vanity Fair insists that Miley had guardians (her grandmother and teacher) present even when Billy Ray left for a business appointment.
Marie feels that since Billy Ray himself is in show business himself, he should have known better than to Miley alone, stating that her own parents “never, never” left us alone (speaking of herself and her six showbiz brothers).
Miley said in the Vanity Fair interview that accompanied the photos that she thought the photos were “artsy.” She has since told People magazine that she is sorry for allowing the provocative pics to be taken.
Frankly, if I were Miley, I would be more ashamed of the homemade MySpace photos that show her flashing her bra rather than the artistic photos taken by a celebrated photographer like Leibovitz.
